About Me

I have worked in social services for over twenty years, and have had the privilege of walking along side others through difficult journeys in a variety of social work settings. After obtaining my undergraduate degree in psychology, I began working in social services at Lena Pope Home residential treatment center for children. I have also worked with MHMR and Child Protective Services. I later went back to school to obtain an MSSW and received the MSSW from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2004. After graduating I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work overseas in social services. I worked in London, England within their child protection system, with Hillcrest fostering agency and Jamma Umoja Family Assessment Center. After returning home to Texas I worked with Aetna's employee assistance program, several UHS psychiatric hospitals and at Carrollton Springs psychiatric hospital.
